The influx of draught affected families has been felt in the outskirts of the capital, especially Eelasha biyaha, Garasbaaley residential area near Afgoye district. These displaced families mainly came from Lower-Shabelle and BAY regions in southern Somalia.<\/p>\n<p>MMD visited Garasbaley residential area near Afgoye district, South-west state of Somalia, to observe the conditions of these draught affected families. We have seen new IDPs of 73 families including pregnant and lactating mothers and children.<\/p>\n<p>With the reference of late UN report on the draught, the widespread humanitarian crisis has gotten worse and need urgent humanitarian response, according to WFB and UNICEF recent report<\/p>\n<p>The most severe problems that these IDPs have are lack of food, Drinking water, Latrines and shelter. After they arrived, IDPs started to build shattered houses which cannot protect them from the harm conditions of weather.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, there are a lot children under five years who are malnourished due to lack of breastfeeding and the mothers (both pregnant and lactating) were affected by the food shortage.<\/p>\n<p>MMD kindly requests all humanitarian agencies to support us in
