Organization believes that extension of HIV\/AIDS awareness activities to remote communities will reduce the spread of HIV\/AIDS pandemic in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PROCEDURE STEPS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HIV\/AIDS awareness raising in community<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD ensures all plans and procedures on HIV\/AIDS outreach activities are implemented.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The organization integrates HIV\/AIDS components into development projects.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">MMD<\/span> shall participate in HIV\/AIDS coordination and planning meetings with other organizations to avoid duplication of outreach activities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD shall maintain close working relationship with communities and local authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0MMD shall ensure that adequate resources are earmarked for each activity.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HIV\/AIDS training for CDCs, TBAs and CHWs<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The organization provides HIV\/AIDS trainings for the under-mentioned community groups:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Community Development committees (CDC).<\/li>\n<li>Community health workers (CHWS) and traditional birth attendants (TBAs) with basic HIV\/AIDS trainings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The organization provides CDCs with exposure visits to HIV\/AIDS awareness projects in urban areas.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The organization will organizes CDCs visits to hospitals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0They will be provided with HIV\/AIDS TOT to train other community members.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Health staff will be given training on HIV\/AIDS and STIs data collection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integration HIV\/AIDS awareness activities into the organization development programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The program Officer shall prepare all due outreach reports.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD shall render awareness training to its beneficiaries from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD organizes meetings on quarterly basis with the community leaders to keep close relationship in tackling HIVAIDS.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD organizes integrated flow up trainings for the community groups to ensure change of attitude adopted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD conducts constant HIV\/AIDS assessment surveys in different villages where the training activities did not take place.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD carried out surveys on risk factors leading to HIV\/AIDS infection and formulates strategies to avoid those risks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The organization bears in mind community cultural sensitivity while conducting HIV\/AIDS awareness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>MMD shall make sure that the training and HIV\/AIDS visible materials like billboard with visual aids are compatible with community values and beliefs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Community leaders like sheiks and Elders should be involved in HIV\/AIDS outreach activities.<\/li>\n<li>MMD shall utilize community talents and skills such as poems, dramas, songs and stories.<\/li>\n<li>The organization integrates
