Khadra met with the Minister of Family and Human Rights Development
Despite the ongoing efforts to eradicate female genital mutilation (FGM) in Somali communities, strong awareness campaigns continue, led by human rights organizations advocating for an end to the practice (zero tolerance).
Khadra Asad, one of the activists campaigning against FGM, discussed the issue with the Minister of Family Affairs and Human Rights, Khadija Al-Makhzuomi. The minister pledged to take significant action to address FGM and uphold all human rights.
