MMD CONDUCTED A SIGNIFICANT TRAINING FOR SOME OF MOGADISHU STUDENTS.
Maternal Mercy & Development (MMD) has successfully completed a four-day training course 50 students in Mogadishu.
The training was held at two universities in Mogadishu, the Golden and the SIU, which was held at the university for two days.
This training on human rights has been highlighted by the universal Declaration on Human Rights.
The training was facilitating by human rights activist Asad Abukar Ali & Faisa Abdi Mohamed who worked many places and knew universal declaration all about, This training was the first of its kind in the University of Mogadishu held for ever.
The MMD has provided a great deal of assistance to UNSOM’s human rights support unit.
There is little idea that Somali students have human rights, and there are many universities still in need of such training, UNSOM is expected to continue to support such training as well as the MMD has promised to carry out the implementation of programs such as the Somali students’ human rights.
Finally, 50 students from two universities have thanked MMD with their request to continue to expand this type of training to know their rights and duty bearers. At the end of the student’s showcased pictures of human rights violations that they had not understood before.
