A Ship Carrying new evacuees Yemeni Refugees Docks At Bosaso.
A ship carrying more than 3,500 Somali refugees fleeing the ongoing conflict in Yemen has docked at the shores of Coastal city of Bosaso.
The refugees who were mainly children and women arrived Thursday evening from Yemeni cities. Upon arriving , the refugees were immediately evacuated to health centres to asses their health situation.
Its reported several women gave birth on the ship while sailing through the sea.
Puntland and UNHCR officials said they are doing their best to serve refugess despite the swelling of influx of refugees fleeing from the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
According to Puntland refugee officers, the latest batches of the refugees were the highest number since the conflict started early 2015.
The refugees who were mainly Somali returness said they are delighted of coming back home and are ready to open new chapters in their lives.
Two month ago, Somalia government established emergency committee to help the refugees returning from Yemen.
