Residents of Marka town have started evacuating after AMISOM troops allegedly killed six civilians as the troops were conducting operation in the town, resident says.
This happened after AMISOM came under bomb attack yesterday in the town and has been reportedly started pursuing the suspects.
A resident, who requested anonymity,told our monitor that the residents are leaving the town in fear of indiscriminately killings of AMISOM troops.
“People have been vacating the town since last night fearing extrajudicial killing of AMISOM troops which is slowly driving out residents from the town,” he said.
Last month AMISOM came under condemnation from federal parliament and human rights organization after soldiers reportedly shot dead more than 10 civilians in Marka.
AMISOM officials are yet comment on the allegations and the evacuations reported from the town. MMD is strongly condemn such this violation out of low.
