PROPER CHILD RAISING AND FAMILY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
MMD, in collaboration with Rajo Center for Development and Job Creation (RCDJC), has launched a program entitled Proper Child Raising and family development program.
As planned, this program intended to be held in all districts of the capital, Mogadishu.
On Saturday, April 22, 2017, the program started at Waberi district with the presence of more than 60 mothers from the different villages of the district.
The program has been officially opened by Hussein Ulusow, the district commissioner who narrated the importance of the family, he mentioned that the family is the first unit of the society if it is developed the whole society will be developed.
The program was participated by some of local NGOs, civil society organizations and guests from Somali-Swiss Diaspora. However, these dignitaries have shown their ambitions to participate such kind of program and encouraged other organizations to start these kinds of initiatives.
Kassim Haji Mohamed, chair person of RCDJC, has spoken on behalf of both Organizations, Mr kassim has promised to continue in encouraging and launching every program and initiative that can enhance and increase the level of awareness, education and development of society.
In addition to that, mr kassim stated that this program was not funded or supported by any external organization except both RCDJC and MMD
Naima Aden, chair person of Save Somali Youth Organization (SASOYO) praised the effort of these organizations in delivering such important program.
The program divided into sections where the first two sections were given to the government officials to send their message on the program while the remaining sections were the presentations on breast feeding and its role on child raising. The mothers have expressed their gratefulness for the program and they have said the program was very beneficial that they have never participated this kind of program with the focus on proper child raising.
Finally, the program will be held in the other remaining districts for the next days.
